As the Supervisor of the IT Operation and Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the organization’s IT system service. Job Description:
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and encourage continuous skill development.
System Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the organization’s system service, including servers, networks, and associated components.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability meet or exceed established service level
Incident and Problem Resolution:
- Lead the response to IT incidents and problems, coordinating with relevant teams for timely
- Implement proactive measures to prevent recurring issues and enhance system stability.
Security Management:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, conducting regular security audits.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with IT service providers and vendors.
- Collaborate with procurement to negotiate contracts and ensure services align with organizational requirements.
Technology Upgrades and Implementations:
- Plan and oversee technology upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and align services accordingly.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to ensure IT requirements are addressed.
Problem Solving:
- Track and resolve system issues, ensuring stable system operation, and take preventive measures to reduce future problems.
Documentation:
- Write technical documents, including system specifications, user manuals, and training materials, to ensure a thorough understanding of the system by the team.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of HTTP(s), API, websocket..etc.
- In-depth knowledge of reversed proxies such as nginx.
- In-depth knowledge of CICD such as gitlab.
- Familiarity with JIRA to manage the projects.
- Familiarity with the functionality of cloud such as VPC, RDS, SLB, S3 and Logs…etc.
- Proven experience in Gitlab CI/CD pipeline setup.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in infrastructure documentation practices.
- Solid understanding of log management principles.
- Ability to design and plan resilient infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.
- Proven experience as a MySQL Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
- Proficient in SQL scripting and query optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Chinese communication is highly preferred.
